The local mechanic is a xxxx did you look at your owners manual on how to check the oil? You do realize that you can’t check the oil level if the engine is hot. Wait at least 10 minutes or more so the oil can drain down, car needs to be on Level ground so you can get an accurate reading.

Got a 2015 TT petrol
I had a warning light come on yesterday yellow triangle oil is low. I checked the dip and oil showed halfway . Went to a garage today mechanic checked oil was showing less than half way he put 1 litre in . Now I have checked the car again just now it's been sitting for hours and the oil is showing way over the full mark quarter a way up the dipstick . Why is this different between hot and cold ?
