Hi, Ref to my newly acquired 1999 A6 1.8T.
I am experiencing a problem when putting the clutch under load, pulling off in 1st, Hill start etc. The car appears to "grumble" when under load. I do not think it is actually the clutch. the gear change is smooth and easy, no slip or judder.
I discovered that the gearbox rubber mounting had broken and have just changed it. A slight improvement but still the same problem. It spoils the ride of the car.
Any ideas?
