Own a 2001 A6 with just under 50k miles, had it serviced few month back and tech said I had around 10k miles left before I would need new brakes. Well the problem I am having is the brakes squeaking, for about the past 7k miles or so. The Audi tech said sand and grit gets in the pads, well I have the car cleaned often along with and underwash and still they squeak. Is it just time to replace the brakes now or something I can do in the interm...any advice would be great, thanks in advance
