Hi there, I am new to this forum and new to Audi.
I recently bought a 2009 A4 B8 2.0TDi with 68k on the clock.
The car drives great and I am very happy with it , however I noticed that the car makes an unusual noise at around 1100 RPM.
I have had the car serviced and the timing belt replaced.
The guys that serviced the car looked into the noise issue and narrowed it down to the gear box (it has CVT transmission).
I took it to a transmission specialist who drove it for about 30 minutes and seemed to think that the car changes into 3rd gear to soon when in D and that therefor the engine struggles which causes the noise.
He suggests reprogramming the gears and mentioned that this is something he can do.
Has anyone else experienced this problem and is it safe to let this guy fix it or should i take it to Audi for something like this ?
Also, does anyone know at what speed this type of car should change from 2nd into 3rd gear ?
Many thanks !!!
