Hi,

anyone got any experiences upgrading speakers in the 80/90?

The fronts are only four inch but the rears are 6.5 components as standard. Will probably just get some decent aftermarket examples for the back but the front is really where my question is. Has anyone ever spent over £100 for 4" speakers and if so is the volume increased as well as the quality or do they still need to be run ultra quiet? I won't be putting over about 1Khz through them if I do go for a 4inch front. The other option is to look at door builds / pods. Has anyone seen any decent ones or know where I can get them in the UK?

Cheers

Havent got round to the standard speakers yet - but i've added to it:

Thats a pic of my 90's Boot, the standard shelf and dashboard speakers are still there and going good, also added Pioneer 6 x 9s into the doors also, I reckon i'll evntually upgrade the standards though, main thing is the wiring looks tricky as there are two main wires from the head unit - the other wires go to that box on the parcel shelf that can have headphones plugged in etc, quite nifty really, wouldnt mind keepin that in
