Hi guys, first post on here so hello and I look forward to this forum.

I hoping you guys might be able to help me a little please?

We have a audi 80 2.0ie ABK, I am about to do the timing belt (looks straight forward) but I would like to understand the timing adjustment (not by timing belt, but by dizzy cap).

I under you have to put the engine in to a basic setting mode, with out the VAG software can this be done by unplugging any sensors or bypassing to enable me to adjust?

Hi guys, ok so I done the cam belt with all the marks lined up.

I have replaced all plugs, leads and dizzy cap and arm.

Car runs lovely.

I noticed when doing the dizzy it don't spin as its fixed in one position with lugs and clips, I think this is the sort that if you need to adjust you undo the nut at the bottom of the dizzy arm that bolts in to the engine block and you turn the whole unit? Is that correct?

Do I need to adjust as I would still like to check it if any one can help me? Or is this a fixed system no adjustment required?
