Hello all, having just started a fix up project for an 1988 Audi 1.9E SD the engine out of the blue stopped starting although it does turn over just not catching.

I think the issue relates to the Coil but i cannot find any replacement parts (in New Zealand) and the parts i am being referred to are all the 1.8 models... i am unsure that it is the correct part.

Reviewing the Audi 80 Haynes manual the SD model isnt referenced (i think it may also be known as a quattro).

To get the correct part and determine whether the coil is functioning, i need to know the specific primary and secondary coil resistances. Anybody know this information or a place where i can get this level of detail?

Also is there a fatory built kill switch?

Thanks in advance.
