Alarm Fault

alarm will not set correctly.after remote locking everything locks ok but indicator light on door stays on for 30 secs [indicating alarm fault ]after 30 secs or sometimes 30 mins a beeping noise starts. sometimes i can stop this with the remote other times i have to unlock with the key and turn the ignition on.any ideas what the problem is?

I had a similar problem on my A4 Cab. Apparently the interior sensor was faulty and replaced under warranty. You can disable the interior sensor with the switch in the drivers door pocket. If you try this and the alarm arms ok then your interior sensor is probably knackered
