Currently looking at getting a 1.8t quattro in the next few months, can anyone give me any pointers on what to look out for? any known issues?

will be looking about 2001 (y/51 plate).

Have looked into it quite a bit & found out there was an issue with ignition coils on the 1.8t - can anyone tell me more about this?

Any advice appreciated

hey there if indeed you will purchase a late a3 (between 96-03)
2001 you should find it is fitted with the later type coils hence no problem
