Hi all:
Has anyone had the ABS warning light come on with the brake light blinking also? I have a 1998 A4 2.8 liter engine which for the last two weeks has had the ABS light come on at different times, the brake light then blinks, and they both stay on, go out, etc. with intermittent showing. Doesn't appear to be caused by braking, turning, starting, driving, etc., as the lights come on periodically under all these conditions.
Audi repair suggests that it could be one of two things: 1.) (cheapest), an instrument panel failure (I also have a temperature gauge that sometimes works or doesn't work) which would need to be replaced or 2.) (expensive), an actual failure of the ABS system which then requires replacement.
Anyone have this experience or any suggestions??? Thanks in advance
