I am planning on getting an a6 and I think that the '05 model does not play mp3 discs. Other cars are having this feature in their '05 models. I would like the stock stereo to have this feature. Does anyone know if the '06 model will contain this feature and wether there will be an indash CD changer?

What are the changes for the '06 model in terms of the interior features?

This is my first, I have a C6 with 2006 chassis (Europe-May 05) and it does not play MP3. I haven't got any confirmation yet, but empirically, it just doesn't.

Additionally, if you want the names of the songs to appear you must make a copy of the CD through i.e. Nero, by importing first to mp3 and only then burning the normal music CD.

Disappointingly No,
There is no MP3 play capabilities with the A6 as well as no after market kits. i was hoping that an ipod kit would be available by now but to no avail
