The gearknob on my 03 S4 has a crack in the silver plastic on the top.How do I get it off?Any suggestions where to get a replacement?

is yours an automatic of stick, are u goin to replace the whole knob if so might as well buy a new one like a nice aftermarker one if your car is stick

Hi, it's a manual. The gearknob looks to be integral with the leather gaiter.

if i remember correctly the leather shift knob boot is attached to the trim peice at the bottom of the shift knob. the entire assembly needs to be removed.

not 100% sure, its been awile since i've worked on a B6 A4 but give it a shot
