Hi All

I am very fond of the A4 boot spoiler off the B6 model, its very discreet, but looks good at the same time.

What i want to know is will they fit on the B5 model, i have a 99.5 A4 1,8t.

Does anyone know if it fits, if anyone has done this and lastly, if possible, where can i get one from....CHEAP!!!

Here's the info from the Audi website:

Evolution Rear Spoiler
US $439.31

A6 Sedan

A wing-style spoiler adds sporty flair to your A6 sedan. Must be painted to match body color.

==========================
Item #4B0071640A 9AX
Model Years: 1998-2004
Sold only through your local dealership.

Not guaranteed to fit, and for sure won't line up at the edges of the trunk without modification. It is nice though.

For a close copy to this, try the LLTEK Motorsports spoiler. Here's a link to their website page for the spoiler (also available in carbon fiber):

Good luck,

VB

Guys,

Thanks for all the input, but it was actually the B6 A4, so to clear things up, the A4 model that was released in 2000.

I saw one of those bmw spoilers the other day and wondered if it would fit. Looked pretty sweet too. Might have to give the beemer dealer a call.

Did you have to spray it yourself, or did it come sprayed??

Also was it hard to fit the spoiler, what did you use to stick it down, and it looks like its sort of curved, was it hard to put down???

They recomend that you use the 3m tape that comes with it. I'm lucky enough to have a mate that owns a bodyshop. So he sprayed it and put it in the oven because it needs bending a few inches. Basically have to heat it up, bend it a bit, try it and so on.

The post by Mitchyboy goes through most of it.
