Does anyone out there have a suggestion regarding the following: -
The alarm on my A3 sounds very briefly (2 or 3 times) when I start the engine after it's been left standing for a few hours. However the turn indicators do not flash when this happens as when the alarm is triggered normally.
The door LEDs flash in the correct sequence when the alarm is activated indicating that the alarm sets correctly when locked, and the indicator lights flash to show that the alarm is diactivated when the car is unlocked.
It occured to me that this might be some in-programmed way of alerting the driver to a fault with system, but the user manual make no reference to anything like it.
My next step will be to see if I can reset the system by taking the fuse out and reinstating it.
Any other suggestions would be welcome!
