Hi,

My A3 has covered 23,000 miles now. it had its first service at 16900 and since then i have put a litre in and audi did a mid term saftey check and topped up again, so clearly it is using a bit.
Only interesting thing was that they have picked up a leak on the intercooler inlet. They are going to keep and eye on it, but is common they say on the 2.0tdi. Maybe that could explain some excessive oil use?
Interested to hear any thoughts

The oil drinking 'problem' is well known at Audi but they consider it not to be a problem.

I currently have 4300 km with my 2005 A3 2.0 TDi s-line and oil level is still ok!

Around 4000 miles on the clock now (mostly motorway driving ~500 miles per week); no warning so far (touch wood). But I've heard other people to complain about this. Why this diference for?
Cheers!!!
