if all goes well am gonna been part-ex'ing my 1.8 se in for a 1.8T, is there any thing i should look out for?

when the belts been dont and make sure all the schedualed maintaince is done
u dont want anything that will cause oil sludge

As AllWheelGrip says the oil change services are vital as my 1.8 t engine sludged up and nearly seized it. Had to have new oil pump fitted to sort it out.

Apart from that they are a good strong engine and should do many miles.

Let the turbo run on after boosting a lot before you switch off. It spins the oil off the blades and will prolong the life of it. (Pretty standard advice with any turbo car).

There was a problem with the ignition coils on some earlier models.

Check out the Parkers website, I think they mention it there.

coil packs are still a problem now =(
