Hi, My A1 1.6tdi 105 dropped into limp home mode after flashing coil light on dash board. Reset after turning ignition off and on. Friends plug in fault indicator displayed 'P0299' - which is, apparently, associated with air intake, turbo/ boost. I have cleaned out the EGR and the MAF sensor but that made no difference at all. It would drive ok for a while but as soon as I encountered any hills - or tried to accelerate - it would go into limp mode - resetting quickly with an 'off/on' of the ignition. Now, however, after replacing the air intake pipe from the MAF to the Turbo, it is in limp mode permanently - only revving to 2500rpm. A strange thing though is if I drive it on the road it does rev as normal though no power and Turbo not coming in until around 3000rpm. Very frustrating with not a lot of spare cash to enter fault finding/ replacing parts as a trial and error. Any assistance in resolving this issue would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. H.
