just bought a 93 90s car runs great but some days likes to stall alot with no warning seems to run fine then just dies for no reason and will start back up run fine for awhile then on freeway does it again put in new fuel filter and still has same problem any help or suggestions appreciated

does it stall at high temperature and if so can you restart it straight away or only after it cools down?

if so try hall sender.

I have a 94 100s that also quits on the freeway. It has only been recently, coincidentally during very hot weather. My car starts up almost immediately after it stalls, but occasionally I have to crank the ignition 2-3 times before it restarts. What happens when it quits is the oil light goes on (although level and pressure are fine), the high pitched horn along with it, and the gear shift (automatic) indication flashes all over the place. What does yours do when it stalls?

My 93 Audi 80 would stall with full warning lights across the dash and generally when the car was at operating temperature. Problem was once it stalled it was very hard to restart and quite often would only restart after the engine had cooled down considerably. Sometimes you could get it going only for it to stall again a bit further down the road.

After much patience from my mechanic, as the **** thing would run fine for him, they changed the hall sender and its been fine ever since.
