the cost of parts for making any real gains on power are more than the car is worth , you are better off buying a coupe with a bigger engine than wasting money trying to get anymore power from the 8v engine. you would need new power cam, freeflow exhaust, maybe ecu chip , to get what you would get from a 2.0l 16v
Hi Bikriadrian....Greg here welcome to the forums...glad to have you aboard. I would have to agree with merton1973 on this one. Yes the 2.0l 8v is a great motor...it lacks what most audi engines lack....tuning capabilities. I would go and find yourself a nice 10v turbo engine or even a well built 20vt engine and then the sky is the limit on power. If you plan on sticking with your engine...you can get power improvements but like merton1973 said...it's limited and costs a hell of alot of money. Look at my profile....it will explain exactly what I've done to my 1990 coupe quattro and I haven't even gone turbo yet. But it will show you how much money I did spend on the motor alone. Good luck.
i have a 1994 80 2.0, and it has the gauge cluster without tachometer, could i just buy a cluster with a tach and install it, or is it missing some kinda wiring since it didn't have a tach from the factory.
