Hi everyone ...I'd sure be glad of some advice. I'm looking at buying a 2005 TT Coupe and not sure to get the 225 or 250...I prefer the automatic now I'm getting on a bit B) but am interested in any info ya'll may have?? Not sure if the 225 comes in automatic? Also how comfortable is the ride in the car? I've owned various sports cars in the past and appreciate that the ride is not that of a full size car. I get various conflicting reports that I read on various websites. Thanks!

the 225TT is 6Speed only.. the 3.2TT (250hp) is DSG "auto" only.

I gave a bit of input so far as the build quality etc goes. Check out his link to an earlier posting... Go here

The ride is firm and you pretty much feel all the bumps in the road, which as you already agree is too be expected from a sports car. Considering that it has a pretty low slung profile, road noise pick-up is not high. I dont know official dB figures but even at speed I can chat with a passenger or listen comfortably to the radio. Apart from the screen tray in the boot (trunk) which does rattle over bumps, there is not another sound in the car (and I am close to neurotic when it comes to vagrant rattles!) I cant say enough about internal build quality, read some of the magazine reviews etc and it will give you a pretty good idea that it this is a shared opinion. You will of course get various opinions on all aspects of the car and that just comes down to preference. I love my car even though I have had some recent engine problems. I am not the only one that does the repairs and keeps at it.

Thanks Kelvin, I'm not quite as neurotic as my husband about noise but then this is going to be my car....lol. Say hi to Bahrain from me....I love that place and wow some beautiful expensive vehicles there!!
