Hello all,

I have a 2001 1.8t A3 and recently had some problems, Revs dropping when idle and stopping, real bad lag - no throttle response.

I have taken it to Storm Developments a VAG Specialist who have tried to fix it 3 times, but the problem still occurs! Each VAG com reading shows 'air loss between throttle and turbo' and 'system too rich'

They have changed the dv with a forge one, changed a valve and temp sensor.

Any other suggestions?

Cheers, Matt

Yeah Storm had a look and I have had a look also.

Nothing obvious though.

It seems to be worse when I'm low on fuel??

Fuel pump maybe?

Is the pump getting noisy / whining at all ?? Maybe the fuel filter is due for a change ??

I guessing storm developments have remapped the ECU ??

One other thing?? are you running on the stock air filter and box or aftermarket induction kit ??

Hi, Pump isn't noticibly louder, any idea on cost of a new filter

No Storm haven't remapped the ECU, they do Custom Code which I'm considering, but no re-map as of yet.

Stock Air Filter, only Engine upgrade is the Forge diverter valve which I now believe to be faulty as occasionly I have no power when acceleration. Like the piston in the valve is getting stuck.

Thanks
