1. Barcelona consider Mendy move

Juventus are prepared to pay around €40million (£35m/$45.3m) for Roma midfielder Nicolo Zaniolo, according to Calciomercato.

The 19-year-old only moved to Rome last summer as a makeweight in the deal that saw Radja Nainggolan sign for Inter.

However, his impressive early performances for Eusebio Di Francesco's side have prompted Juve to consider a summer bid, though Roma hope to persaude Zaniolo to stay by offering him a bumper new contract.

4. Newcastle missed out on Benfica's Samaris

Newcastle nearly landed Benfica midfielder Andreas Samaris in the January window, but the Portuguese club pulled out of a deal at the last minute, according to O Jogo.

However, Benfica late on decided to try to offer Samaris a new contract and he appears receptive toward staying with the club, though no new deal has been signed yet.

Atlanta United midfielder Darlington Nagbe is trying to force a trade to the Columbus Crew according to Dirty South Soccer.

The Crew's new coach is Caleb Porter, who coached Nagbe both at the University of Akron and the Portland Timbers, with Nagbe's trade to Atlanta coming after Porter departed the Western Conference club.

Nagbe has been absent from Atlanta's first two scrimmages so far this pre-season and only suited up in a match for the team's reserve side.

6. Who is Joao Felix?

Manchester United, Real Madrid and PSG are all tracking 19-year-old Joao Felix, while he has expressed an interest in playing alongside Cristiano Ronaldo.

7. Raiola could cost De Ligt’s Prem move

Ajax defender Matthijs De Ligt’s hopes of moving to the Premier League could be dashed because of his association with agent Mino Raiola, according the Mirror.

Manchester City have been linked with a move for the 19-year-old but boss Pep Guardiola is reluctant to do business with Raiola having fallen out with him following Zlatan Ibrahimovic's departure from how to deposit at w88 Barcelona in 2011. Manchester United and Arsenal are also believed to be wary of dealing with the 51-year-old.
