1.Barcelona claim no Liverpool offer for Dembele as they stand by troubled winger

The World Cup winner continues to be linked with a big-money move away from Camp Nou, but his current club have held no transfer discussions
Barcelona have sought to quash talk of Ousmane Dembele moving to Liverpool, with the Liga giants having no offers on the table.

The Blaugrana moved to land the 21-year-old winger in the summer of 2017, with €105 million (£93m/$120m) of the record-breaking fee received for Neymar invested in the exciting France international.

Dembele struggled to justify that fee amid form and fitness during his debut campaign, but did become a World Cup winner over the summer and has netted six times in 15 appearances this season.

General manager Pep Segura told Cadena Ser: “If you have information from the English press, ask the English press. If you have information about Liverpool, ask Liverpool.

2. Neymar not a target for Barcelona but door kept open for Camp Nou return

Neymar is not a transfer option “on the table at the moment” for Barcelona, claims general manager Pep Segura, but a return to Camp Nou is not being ruled out.

The Brazil international made 186 appearances for the Blaugrana, netting 105 goals, prior to making a record-breaking move to Paris Saint-Germain in the summer of 2017.

A second spell in La Liga has been mooted since he departed Catalunya, with Real Madrid being heavily linked with a player who once graced the books of their fiercest rivals.

Segura told Cadena Ser of the Neymar rumours: “Neymar is a player who is not on the table at the moment.

“I have already said that no young player that leaves for money will return. We stand by that. But the circumstances with Neymar are totally different.

“We always must evaluate the circumstances of the market and assess what the best moves for us will be in relation to those.”

3. Verratti 'not thinking about' leaving PSG amid Juventus & Barcelona links

The Italy international has seen his future called into question on a regular basis in recent years, but he claims to be fully settled in France

Marco Verratti is “not thinking about” leaving Paris Saint-Germain despite sparking ongoing talk of interest from the likes of Juventus and Barcelona.

The 26-year-old has emerged as one of the most sought-after midfielders in world football after making a move to France in 2012.

He has helped to turn PSG in a dominant domestic force and a major player on the European scene.

A return to Italy has been mooted on a regular basis for the Azzurri international, while La Liga giants Barcelona have been long-standing admirers of his destructive talents.

Verratti is, however, settled in Ligue 1 and giving no thought to a big-money transfer, telling reporters while away with his country: “I’m not thinking about changing.

“I don’t care what the press or a journalist says, whether it’s negative or positive. I play for a club, they trust me, and they always show me that.

“I’ve been there for seven years and I’ve never had a problem with the coach, especially in a team which can make big signings every year.

“Since Ibra [Zlatan Ibrahimovic] left I’ve been responsible for more things, I want to keep going and win something important.

“It’s been a difficult week. I messed up [having been caught drink-driving], and you can’t do these things when you represent a big club.

“I apologised and we’ll look forward.”
