I have a A4 1.8 turbo i just replace the chain tensioner and also i took a part the oil pan to replace the pick up tube of the oil pump and i did this because the car wont start and someone told me this will solve my problem but it didn't. Before i took a part the chain tensioner i know i set TDC and today i took a part the valve cover to double check it and my marks r way different of when i replace the tensioner and i don't know what happen??
also after i install the tensioner i turn the car and it start but after a few minutes it quit and as a now i cant make it to start again.
should i take the car a part and take the head to the machine shop?
now if i take it to the machine shop who am i going to put it back to TDC after i get it back from the shop??
i will really need help to solve my problem!!!!!
can you advice with any tip???
    thank you in advance

    Good Afternoon moderator,

I need help with my audi TT car. My car keeps overheating because my radiator fans dont kick in at the right time. I checked the fuse box and all of the fues are fine. Then I checked the radiator fan itself and one of them was not working, i replaced it and now both of them work. Then I checked the Control Module and its working fine. They though it was the Coolant Temperature sensor but I had replaced it 2 weeks ago, I took it back to Audi and they changed it again but Im still having this problem. The radiator fans do work and they kick in after the 5/6 th of the thermostat but dont seem to be throwing enough air in to cool down the engyne and if I dont open the vent, the car will overheat. What do you think might be wrong if I have tried everything? Thanks for your time. Have a good day.
    Sincerely,

    Camilo Restrepo

hey - please help. i have a friend was a tech @ an audi dealer. he just replaced my timing belt and everything that goes w/it. he also changed my spark plugs, serp belt, gas and air filters.
my car several months ago during slight acceleration or even steady driving would feel like it was clunking out. the problem would go away and come back every once in a while. well it happened to me 2 days in a row and left my car on the street practically. the best way to describe it as i am taking off from a red light the RPM would increase and as it is supposed to go to the 2 and 3k rpms, it woudl bounce back and forth and between 1 and 2.5rpms. i wasnt sure if it was a misfire or felt like it wasnt getting gas. my buddy said its the pcv valve and or the intake manifold control valve. but when i called the audi dealer they thought it was that ignition coil recall issue and said it sounded exactly like it. but i had that done. its a 2004 audi a8l. any opinion woudl greatly be appreciated.
