99 A6 Immobiliser problem

Hi all. my 99 A6 Australian model is having a immobiliser problem.
I had a aftermarket navigation installed and the faulty wiring made some wire and the instrument cluster burnt out.
I fixed all the wiring and bought a instrument cluster from junkyard. Asked a audi mechanic to reprogram the instrument cluster but he is not helpful. I don't have the security code or vagcom. original instrument cluster is totally burnt out and I don't think I can retrieve the security code from it.
My question is, is there anyway I can get my car going without asking audi mechanic? Does it work if I swap the instrument cluster, key and ECU from other car?
Please help
