Funny thing is that all the outher fault codes that had have gone now due to southend audi doing a softwaer update, but the engine fault code still remains.

I will take my VagCom kit with me and show them after there test and see what they say

Hi guys.

Sorry to bother you again but just one quick question if you can please, as you will see i have listed some info regarding my problem.

You can see in the list that 01: Engine says OK 0000,

then further down it says 2 Faults Found:

5554 - Exhaust Gas Temperature Sensor; B1 S3: Range/Performance
P242B 00 [096] - Lower Limit Exceeded
5555 - Exhaust Gas Temperature Sensor 4 Bank 1: Implausible Signal
P246F 00 [096] - Mechanical Failure
Readiness: 0 0 0 0 0

I am unsure now if my car has a fault or not as it is conflicting in the readout.

Any help would be most greatful before i take my car in on Tuesday.

Regards

paul

Hi there yes and no, took the car to a different AUDI dealer whom did only the basic test and came back to me saying there is nothing wrong with the car.

See attached picture of printout:

I asked them why they did not do a full test as I showed them the fault code's that I had from my own test and the AUDI dealer said if I wanted them to do this test then I would have to pay £127.00 for it to be done.

Anyway to cut a long story short I got back home and ran the full diagnostic test again and it showed that I still had the same error codes showing so decided to see if clearing the fault codes myself using VAG_COM and it has done, so all is ok now, but I would have thought AUDI would have done this as the car still has one and half years warranty on it.
