Question

Hi!
I have placed the GPS antenna under the back window, on the shelve (indoor antenna), there was no satellite reception so Iíve bought another one and Iíve left it outside, just to test it and still nothing.

And yes, I have rewired the connectors. Iíve checked it few times and it all looks ok according to the Audi documentation.

Is it possible that my navigation and the telephone module are not working because of the component protection thing? I am wondering, because in both cases VAG-Com shows the same readingsÖ

What you have shown is nothing.

The BT prep and Nav are not subject to CP.

Do a scan of the car and post the faults if any.

The thing is that there are no faults. I think, Iíve tried everything.
I would appreciate any help. Iíve spend quite a lot of money on these components, and I do not know what to doÖ

Would the MMI reflash work if I have the problem that manually input addresses just disappear? And if so where do I get a EU 5150 file cd? My car is a A5 2009.

5150 is not applicable to the A5

Yes, sorry I realised that when I kept on researching but the 5570 or the 5170? Would that solve my problem?

If your car is 2009, take it back under warranty for any issues. It should already be 5170 at least if it is not an MMI 3G car.

Thanks. I brought my car from the US so I don't believe it is covered. But it will potentially fix the problem?

Why would you think it will fix the problem, there is no Navigation software in the MMI update disks.
