i got a cd repair manual - elsawin - u must be kidding me ?
no timming marks to set timming belt ? buy the tool (no marks) & install ?
why not pull eng - rebuild & install eng ?
WTF ? i thought chiltons was bad !!!!!!!!!!!
anybody have any info ? 2.8 6 cly AAH motor
the book / cd (gosh i hate cd's) from bentley any better ?
HELP PLEASE 121,00 on eng - i know the belt will break !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Did you mean Audi A4/A6 V6 2V Camshaft Alignment Timing Locking Tool - eBay (item 170614696024 end time Apr-10-11 21:03:51 PDT) ? There are marks - in proper place, not on camshafts. You could make the tool yourself and buy one.

thanks for the holding tool link
but what i was getting at is this cd - elsawin does not even show timming marks all it says is pin crank then pull cam sprokets & re install
any place i can get better info ?

cam locking trick

Here's a little trick we use at the shop for the audi's and vw's to lock the cams in place. fold a piece of paper and wedge it in there and it will hold the camshafts in place.

hey wk end in Whistler, i have a oil leak in there , i belive its the cam seals, cant see till i pull it all off, so sprokets will come off, any hints or tips ?
i understand we have NO cam sproket line up marks ?
do u know correct process ? pic's, info ?
