any rally build threads on here?

Where's all the cages and fabricators? Has anybody on here built a 4door grocery getten b4 a90 for offroad rally use? I couldn't find anything on here...even googling turned up nothing. I thought with a chasis coated to withstand extreme elements that has a killer 5cyl awd with a selectable rear locking diff would surerly entice peeps to take it to the next level but maybe those folks just don't post.

suspension recomendations?

there are plenty out there my friend.. Check out "intended acceleration" I have a 91 90 that has the 2.2T from a 5000 that I've been turning into a rally car and i have another 5000 with 2.2T that I am looking for an Audi 80/90 or coupe quattro body to put this into to be daily driver. One reason there aren't as many as you would think is that there were not many of these sold in NA. they were released right after all the complaints surfaced about "unintended acceleration" (hense the name for website for "intended acceleration") the guys yellow 90 quattro is putting out 600HP!!

I'm fortunate enough to work in a garage and there's room where I can store a few parts cars. I've been buying up what 5000 2.2T quattros and have been looking for 80/90or coupe quattros but it's been tough. Parts are obsolete, need to come from Germany or from wreckers. I got lucky last week when a tow truck driver dropped a truck off at the shop and told me he was going to pick up a 5000 for scrap and I bought it from him.

034 motorsports also has many parts you will want to build a rally car.

roll cage info

Also, you get a copy of the ralley handbook or you can download it online (make sure you have lots of ink though, it's close to 300 pages) and all the specs you need for a rollcage are in there and any steel fab shop can fabricate on for you based on those. i've been working on mine based on those specs. If you want to be able to it yourself cheaply you can buy 10 foot lengths of exhaust style pipe from any parts store...
