Anybody had any issues with this sensor? Changed mine a while back but it still throws the light up regularly! I'm wondering if its more complicated!

Im a long time acura owner and I know that every time that I changed something with my car I had to reset the computer screen.

What do you mean light up? Is it the the fan sensor and ECU? If fan - get original, aftermarket suck.

When I plug the vag com in it comes back with the fault "engine coolant temp circuit-high input(low temp)" I changed the coolant temp sensor when it happened the 1st time now every time the light comes on it gives that fault! I have been noticing that just before the light comes on the revs pick up slightly, like when I'm waiting at the lights or on a roundabout in gear, clutch fully down. Engine temp is norm at 90deg & mpg is norm at 57mpg. Please help

For high input I would expect electrical problems, rather than the sensor itself. Corroded plug or corroded wire. Google on the code, e.g. OBD-II Trouble Code: P0118 Engine Coolant Temperature Circuit High Input (http://www.obd-codes.com/p0118)

Nice one!it does sound like it could be an electrical issue, the light comes and goes so that is my next step! Any ideas how easy/hard it is to change that wiring setup?

I hate electrical problems. Could be as simple as cleaning the connector or as tricky as finding a broken wire. In my experience it was 90% the simpler case.

Ok, I checked all plugs & wirings all with no problems!cleared the fault, light went out, great!drove about 50miles light came back on,vag com came back with same fault!light then switched itself off,no fault found!its now come back on again but now the temp gauge is going up to 90 then fluctuating between 50 & 90 intermittently!what could this be now?thermostat issues?

Lazy t-stat may be the problem
