Hi guys, I have a 2005 DVD from my Audi A6 3.0 2005 Avant and am looking to update it. It is MMI and 4E0 919 884 N and Part No. T10000-9041. I tried to update it to the 2010 Europe MMI DVD but it stuck on Progress 0% (but maybe I just didn't leave it for long enough?), and after much googling it seems that I have to update to 'Version 5' before I can do this, if the car was American. Problem is, I cannot find anything for European Audi's and have no idea what to upgrade to before I can get the latest maps. I am scared to use an American version for free of breaking the Sat Nav. Do any of you have any idea how I should upgrade? Should I get the 2006 DVD off ebay for example?

Thanks

You should be able to upgrade from any version to any higher version. Are you sure you bought an MMI 2G disk and not a 2010 MMI 3G disk.

Yep, I am sure it is the 2G disk. Update to the problem: I borrowed the 3CD update disk to flash the firmware to the newest one, which went successfully. I am having the same problem though, when trying to update it gets stuck on 0% Progress. After sitting in the car waiting to see what happens, eventually it says: "update was automatically cancelled (max. download time was reached) RETURN causes a restart."
For now I have put back in my 2005 nav which installs and works perfectly in very quick time. Any ideas of what could be wrong?

Cheers

EDIT: It is a second hand copy though, maybe the disk is crap?

Yeah I would not be using a copy disk, only genuine. I have tried copies in the past and seen that issue, pity you didn't say that in your first post. The disk contains firmware updates for the nav unit and you could screw that up if the disk is corrupt.

It's not a "copy" then is it, it's a second hand original.

Sorry dude, must be my accent leaking onto the internet. Should have been more careful with my choice of words. Anyway, all sorted, so thanks
