My '01 AR won't start. When I turn the key the engine turns but nothing more. Seems the engine simply isn't getting fuel. Gas tank is half full. Checked fuel pump fuse and it's intact. So I am wondering if it may be a clogged fuel filter. If anyone could shed some light on this or share their experience with swapping out a fuel filter, I'd appreciate it. Thanks.

post some details about engine. disconnected fuel lines recently?
MIght have airlock now. Also fault code scan might show some more clues...

I had same problem last December. It was the injection pump
(hope this is the right name in english). Had to be repaired (Bosh service) at a total cost of €1000 (in Portugal). Here in Germany Audi wanted €1800 + old one and then I would have to pay for replacing it. Almost one year ago and is working perfectly. I have 2001 Allroad 2.5TDI 180PS. Good luck.
