2009 TT Satellite Radio Module Location

Hey TT Crew,

I just bought a Sirius Sat Radio module off ebay and want to install it in my 2009 Audi TT s-line Roadster.

I found some instructions on the web that look pretty easy, but I have a problem: I can not find the location where the module goes. I think the instructions are for a A4 so they show a "draw" that pulls out. I have nothing like that in my trunk.

There is a void in the foam on the left side under the floor panel, but I can not find harness that the module would plug into.

The antenna wire drops from the trunk lid into the trunk on the right side. I tried to follow that wire, but I cannot.

Any help appreciated.

Thx.

Satellite Module apparently not in trunk in 2009 TT

Seeing how I have not gotten a reply yet I ripped into my trunk of my 2009 TT to try to find the sirius module location. I ripped out the false foam floor of the trunk and followed the antenna wires to the cabin of the car.

I am a bit surprised because all the instructions I have found for installing this module (for other models) show the module installed in the trunk.

Apparently the module is to be installed under the dash, presumably on the passenger side.

Any guidance is appreciated.

I am not going to start disassembling the dash until I know where this thing goes.

I have a 2008 Roadster 2.0T and I can confirm that the Sirius module does go in the trunk. After you lift up the false floor (and either have the spare or the run flat kit in the middle) it goes just to the left of this. I can take a picture and post if there are any questions. I had my module installed when I purchased the car so I can't tell you where the wires are hiding, but the box location is best served in the trunk.

Successfully installed

Alright, I got it installed.

Here is what I learned regarding the install of a sirius radio in a 2009 Audi TT S-line Roadster with nav and air sensors:
1) The radio does goes in the trunk. There is a void in the foam under the folding floor panel that is on the left side (driver's side).
2) I had to remove the foam on the left side to find the three connectors that connect to the radio. The antenna wire was _not_ the heavy wire that comes down out trunk lid. Now that I know where they are I could probably fish them out without removing the foam.
3) There was only one way the three wires would plug in and there were no extra wires to cause confusion.
4) To remove the foam on the left I found it easier to remove the foam on the right first.
5) after the radio was installed the unit in the dash displayed the message to call sirius to activate.
6) I had to find the radio serial number by snooping around the setup menu.

I paid $148 for a used unit on ebay from a reputable seller. I used part number 8E0 035 593 N. I called the dealer parts department and gave them my vin to get the part numbers that would work with my car. I recommend that anyone who is going to install one of these themselves do the same.
