Hello all,

I was hoping for some advice between these two options:

a) Audi A6 avant quattro 2.7 TDI
b) VW Passat Variant 4motion TDI (140PS)

Tech info about the VW:
http://www.volkswagen.de/vwcms_publish/vwc...detail.1.3.html

The passat seems to have more bells and wisthles for a lot cheaper than the Audi.
I owned a A4 for years but have no previous experience with VW.

Anyone in the same situation or current experience with the new VW model that could shed some light between the two (or even another model of variant)?

Thank you very much in advance.

the only difference is the size and luxary of the cars
and their drive train

passats have 4 wheel drive in this case the car is FWD until power is need to be transfered to the other wheels

while the A6 quattro is a full time 50/50 slips allwheeldrive until power need to be moved somewhere else

Here is one consideration depending on you are leasing or buying.... I've been told by friends in the car business that the residual value of the Passat drops very significantly once the car has gone off warranty. Something to keep in mind.

Rgds.
