99 golf tdi wont start

can any 1 help me please?
my golf has been sitting up for about 8 weeks and now will not start.
the oil light is on , wasn't on before ,oil levels are fine ??.
the car turns over but it wont fire up,
i've charged the battery, even swapped another vw battery just to check it,tried jump/push start etc , but no joy whatsoever.

would appreciate any and all help

There is a possibility the immobiliser has lost its code from long term voltage drop.This can happen on version 3 immobiliser but i would expect the dash warning light would flash for none recognised key.You may require some fault codes and assitance
