I have just installed a new deck in replace of the double DIM radio in my 2002 jetta. However, I have a question.

the volume or the channel changer no longer works on the steering weal? is there a way I can make that work again or is that just and option with the stock radio.

And another thing, were is a good place to run the power for the new deck. I had some local car audio guys install this for me, and now when ever I put the parking brake on or cut off or on the head lights the radio cuts off. So I need to have that fixed.

But before I went back up there I wanted to get some infomation first.

You can get steering control adaptor leads but in my experience they never work. In the uk its £35 for the leads so thats about $70 ish.

Sounds to me like the audio fitters have made a mistake. Might be a short circuit somewhere. Its all done with blocks so theres no need to find a power, should just connect in.
