Hi Audi Owners!

My 1999 'T' Audi A6 1.8 TURBO was recalled by Audi for a front bearing arm check all A4 A6 A8 from 97 to 01 are affected I think if you live in England ring the following number for more information: 0800 699 888 (Audi Customer Services) I took it to my Audi dealer Listers Audi Coventry and they said the bearing arms where fine but the track rod end gators had split and have left me with a bill for over £500.00 I also have to have something done with this called an optical allignment and I realy don't know what all this stuff is anyone know please can you tell me am I beeing ripped of are the track rod ends important.

It all seems a little fishy with problems related to the bearing arm wear arising and Audi selectively repairing. On my A4 the lower bearing arms were replaced under warranty and 2 months later the upper bearing arms started to wear. This repairs was then at my expense.
