Hi all....great forum you have here, I have a question, we have a 2001(51 plate) A6 2.4 quattro with the auto/tiptronic transmission. I tried a cone filter i had lying around (i didn't have a maf adaptor so managed to get a good seal with some strong duct tape - no air leaks etc, just to try it out) anyway we went to try it out and it was really struggling up hills.....so i want to know why this is and would i be better with a K&N panel filter?
also i have another question, I took apart the remote yesterday and since disconnecting battery and reconneting the fob has stopped working.....its a 3 button one with the lock, unlock, and boot release....Is there a way to re-pair it? |

Sounds like you may have killed the MAF or not connected it back up correctly plus the stock unit works best.
You need to reprogram the key and these instructions should do the job. Quote:
