To get a new chip is a good way of adding hp to your car but you can also reprogram/tune your stock ECU and could get 100+ hp that won't hurt your engine because a friend of mine reprogramed his stock ECU in his 1.8 and gained over 100 hp that didn't hurt his engine.

How do you gay 100 hp from remapping your ecu?!?b/c thats a lot of hp.please explain.but a chip is the way to go,you will not gain much hp. but you'll deff, feel a difference in the vehicle's characteristics.you gain much better throttle repsonce, limiter is removed, and a bit better top end.
