Looking to ship my A6 from IL to CA. Need a reliable Auto Transport Service with enclosed capability.

Anyone have any recommendations?

my dad used FedEx (yes... fedex.. lol) to ship an A8 from LA to NYC this past year. they were very profesional and the car looked cleaner when it got to the destination than it did when we loaded up. you'll probably bay a bit more, but well worth it in my book. check them out.

by the way.. think he paid in the ballpark of $2000

Just got my car from IL to CA via auto transport. Worked with Express Auto Transport and they booked it through FinishLine Auto Transport. All enclosed trailer with laydown ramp that suck up like a huge tailgate.

The interior was hardwood floor and carpet. They drove the vehicle and put a cover on it immediately.

I booked the transport on Friday, 28 Jan. They picked up the car in IL on the morning of 4 Feb (Friday) and they were here in the Monterey Bay Area, CA this morning - 7 February (Monday).

We arranged a location for pickup via telepone on Sunday night and the driver called as schduled this morning.

The car was in excellent condition and he was a stickler for detail. He saw things when he picked it up that I couldn't see when he delivered it.

Nothing but praise for the driver and his company - Finish Line Transport. The people I talked with at Express Auto Transport was kind and courteous. I had checked the status of my car on Saturday and they put me on hold while she called the driver. She came back on and gave me up to the second status.

Great job by all and it was a heck of alot better than me spending 3 days trying to avoid the Highwat patrol between IL and CA.

Take care and good luck if you ever decide to use an auto transporter.

It's time to drive - next item pictures for the avatar and the photo gallery.

See ya on the road
