Q7 - 3.0 vs 4.2 TDI

I am a new forum member & planning to buy a 2008 Q7 TDI in the next couple of months in Australia. I would welcome any advice on whether the extra cost of the 4.2 TDI is justified over the 3.0 TDI.
Also, has anyone had experience with a performance chip in the 3.0 or 4.2 TDI.

I have 3.0TDI S-line. I have had a re-map to near enough 300BHP. It now does 0-60 in 7.2 secs and cost me £150 (mate of mine).
I have driven the 4.2TDI and it is powerful and sounds superb, but i would not pay the money for less than 1 second on mine.
The 3.0 engine is the best all round. Save your cash and fly first class out to Australia.
