I'm new to this web forum, but I'm needing a little help. Generally, I work on my own vehicles but when in over my head, I usually go to a professional. I went to the local Audi dealership for my problem with my 1995, Audi A6 Quattro. The engine had a slight miss. By the time they finished, it cost me $500 and the problem continues. That's a long story.
When I am driving down the road there is a slight miss. It is intermittent and a bit more pronounced under load -- like going up a slight incline. When this happens, if I accelerate fully, there is a very poor response, almost like the engine refuses to go any faster. It is an electrical problem because when I turn the engine off (while I'm at highway speed) and then turn it back on, the missing stops. Then, maybe after a few miles, the engine light comes on again, and it starts to miss again. I can repeat this process. Every time, I turn off the engine, the missing stops for a while. It is clearly and electrical problem? Any suggestions? Thanks for your help. Last edited by Beto : 04-24-2008 at 06:40 AM. |

If you could post your problem again in the A6 section of the forum you may get some more help with your issue and also state which engine/transmission you have ![]()
