Default A6 Quattro Engine Misfiring

I'm new to this web forum, but I'm needing a little help. Generally, I work on my own vehicles but when in over my head, I usually go to a professional. I went to the local Audi dealership for my problem with my 1995, Audi A6 Quattro. The engine had a slight miss. By the time they finished, it cost me $500 and the problem continues. That's a long story.

When I am driving down the road there is a slight miss. It is intermittent and a bit more pronounced under load -- like going up a slight incline. When this happens, if I accelerate fully, there is a very poor response, almost like the engine refuses to go any faster. It is an electrical problem because when I turn the engine off (while I'm at highway speed) and then turn it back on, the missing stops. Then, maybe after a few miles, the engine light comes on again, and it starts to miss again. I can repeat this process. Every time, I turn off the engine, the missing stops for a while. It is clearly and electrical problem? Any suggestions? Thanks for your help.

Welcome to the forum !!

If you could post your problem again in the A6 section of the forum you may get some more help with your issue and also state which engine/transmission you have

Thank you. I didn't know there was an A6 section. I'll give it a shot and thanks for replying. Robert
