Default tranny problems

all the tranny oil leeked out while i was on my way to visit my father, i would have to say with in a period of 45 min from when I left my house to when it broke, what I want to know is if I fix the leek and fill the oil will it be ok, or is there a possability that might have mest up

To be honest I think the only way to find out is do what you said and take it out for a drive.
