Thumbs up Greetings from Milwaukee

Hi all,
Old timer here and frugal guy, I have been an Import mechanic for twentyfive years and wiped down my wrenches for the last time mostly.
I still do my own repairs and maintenance. Worked as a machinest for VW specilaty place here and busted pleanty of knuckels and bolts learning the trade, I even taught auto repair for ten years at our local Tech school evenings.
I am hoping to find some help and be abel to offer some help as well.
Currently I am trying to gather together what I need to convert my 1989 Audi 80 CIS system to Carburation. I know the purests will have a fit, but I am tired of dealing with problems the Alcohol blended fuel causes. So if any of you out there have a source for "old school" carburated intake manifolds or have seen this done as a performance mod please let me know?
This is exactly the opposite of what I did to a 65 VW when I converted it to a MPC Fuel injection from a typ 3.... I hope I can say "VW" here but I will refrain from directing comments about them.
Thank you for the opportunity to introduce myself.
Best regards,
Craig
