Starting problem - rain & cold

I owned an Audi A4 year 1996 and having starting problem whenever car been expose to rain and left idel for a couple of days. After leaving it for couple of hours and when the outside temperature is warm, it cranks.

The lasttime I left it for 2 days on a business trip, the same symptom repeated. Even jump starting did not work, left it the whole day and when I got back to it late eveing, it got cranking.

Not sure, the root cause but need some light and help. Please advise
