Audi A6 2.5 TDI Sport CVT - Auto Box Problem

Just bought A6 2002 Avant and after 300 miles the display showing the Auto selection data is flashing which means that there is a fault in Auto Transmission and limits car to 4th gear. Does anyine know if this is likely to be very expensive.
Looking for a recommended Audi main dealer in the Holmfirth Area. So looks like it will be Wakefield, Stockport , Huddersfield Areas.

i have just bought an a6 2.5 tdi cvt , looking through the history print out of my car i have found that at 67190 miles it recived a repair to the multitronic gearbox , at a cost of close to £900 !
