Default Hi all..... and....

Hi

Another newbie here! From the UK. I just got myself my first Audi its an A4 2.4se V6 Manual 1997.

Drove it a couple of hundred miles and so far I love it !! Its just great compared to my previous car an old VW Golf 1.8GTI !!

A quick question as well ... the brake light warning indicator is on ... but brake lights all work ok.. any ideas on the best place to start trying to sort this out?

Cheers

Is it the same light as the E-brake?
If so the e-brake position sensor could be faulty...
Also, you might check your running lights, some models have dual filament bulbs, and while your brake lights may work, maybe one of the running lights is out.

Hi cheers for the reply.
Its the warning light that appears on the central dash cluster with two lots of (( )) and a crossed out upside down bulb in the middle ... so I dont think its e-brake (er sorry being a Brit is e-brake what we call handbrake?). I will double check all the rest of the lights tho just in case! Also its intermittent.. bloody thing ggrrrr!
