Okay.. so i'm 20, just sold my 2000 Pontiac Grand Prix, and in the market.

Was looking at G20's (I've had 3.. modded.. loved 'em)

Was looking for 240sx's (but can't find good ones, and well.. i want a sedan)

Soo.. i cam across a 1996 Audi A4 Quattro with the 2.8 V6.

Kind of high miles (140K) but original owner, all work done on time, at dealer all the time.

its a 5-speed (because why would u have it any other way?)

anyway... so guys/gals, what am I getting myself into? I"m a college student, i'm using some leftover financial aid grants and my pervios sell money to buy this next car... should i go back to Japanese, or find a nice Audi or VW?

the more i look at this Audi A4.. the more i want it. My friend has a Passat Vr6 (well his sister has it) and he said he loves driving it.. so i imagine similar results.. but with a manual transmission.

feel free to pm me, e-mail me, post here... i just want to know before i jump the gun and realize i shot myself in the head.

thanks,
Roy

see if the car did the timing belt already
if dont plan mod or want to go fast get the 2.8 but that is the older and weaker V6 with only 170hp in that ad, that car is slow and has no potential

i've been hearing the same thing about the 1.8T.. being slow, and unworthy, to go with the 2.8.

any ppl with 2.8's out there?

I know that with the same Gen GTI there are plenty of parts... so what is the difference?
