Allo. Just a quick hello as i've just joined. have an old 91 audi 80 2.0 E and there's a good chance i'll have a 91 2.0SE tonight too. I don't have a good reason for buying except it's a bargain and i'll tinker with it until i decide which to keep and which to sell on.
actually my 2.0E (1984cc) doesn't seem to have a lot of power but i'm putting that down to age and the previous owner fitting a new head gasket (maybe the head is slightly warped?) does me nicely and is a hell of a car for teh age (compared to a ford or something) had a bit of a slide in the heavy scottish snow on sat night and although there's not much damage the car might be idling a bit high. I think the tone of the engine is a notch higher at motorway speeds too. any ideas what this might be? cheers nochi |

hook it up to V.A.G and recalibrate the idle - quick and easy fix for a 02 b6 platform, should be the same for yours....
