Please help me, I can't get my 2.5Tdi to start.
I started it this morning and drove to work ( no prob ). After being parked up for about an hour the bloody thing wouldn't fire, it cranks over, attempts to "catch" But nothing!!! I had to be towed home (RAC). He reckons that the fuel pump has adjusted itself beacause of a Leaking Exhaust manifold due to a decrease in back pressure. It seems to be sending too much fuel, hence it not firing??? When I sort out the manifold problem, Will the fuel pump (self adjust) back to normal? or is this a more serious problem? i.e fuel pump service? 1994 A6 avant 2.5 5cyl Tdi 115bhp May thanks Chris. ![]() |
